How to gain users...um, hypothetically?

OK, don't think I'm obsessing over this (even though I kind of am XD) but um, HYPOTHETICALLY...what kinds of things would someone do to gain just a few more user for a website like...oh, say Touch of Mint? Especially if this someone had advertised on every possible forum and was out of ideas?

I don't doubt that you are advertising on every possible forum... XD

One way is to make a banner to put in siggys that links to the main site... (And the code for other people, in fact try and get an affiliates thing started)
And also have a page on the main site the summarizes what the site _is._ (and how wonderful it is!) Also a user-count would be good, its really fun to join and then see your number get added.... =3

Other than that:
Talk non-stop about what great stuff you did on TOM today, it gets people curious.

Ooh, I like your ideas, especially the one about the summary on the page. Since all the little buttons and banners lead to the main page, maybe there could be a summary on top in a news box, then all the news will be put under that.

Also, the nutcase part sounds good XD

Those are good ideas. As members we could try to help by having a link to the club or site in our journals or sig.

My question is, what forums are you advertising on. I know dA would be a natural place to advertise, but if you go to other random forums that have artist that don't care about exposure, then it would help much to advertise there. There are other sites you could advertise on, like Sheezyart.

i like that idea. the only other site i post at other that here and at dA. is animenation. i tried the banner images that you have on the main page but dA was be retarded the last time i tried. i think i will try again.
