Language Game!
since I see that most of you enjoy learning foreign lkanguages, why not start a languagw game?
here are the rules:
each person writes a word/phrase from a language(preferably his own),and the others try to translate it in their own language.so...let me start...
translate me the word "Καλημέρα"(it's in greek, you me need to change some code settings to be able to see it "^^)

Re: Language Game!
I can see the letters, but I have nooo idea of what it actually says in Greek. Imma guess something of a greeting? Maybe "hello"?

Re: Language Game!
Yeah. I kind of copied off the post above me, whereas you said "Good morning" I said "Good day" (direct translation) Though used as a greeting. For something completely original- Hablo solo un poquito espanol.

Oh, how heavy?
Sie sind verrückt
Edit: I'm feeling a little odd today. What i said makes sense, but has no context, just for the record

Re: Language Game!
Actually, in English, it would be what we say as "Oh, what a pain!" But you're close and kind of right.
And Babelfish tells me that you said, "They are moved" but... I don't get it and I can't think of what it actually means without some form of context.
Here's an easy one:

I want alot of visitors on Deviantart.
Close. It's more like "they are out of place" (displaced, techinically, thats what verrückt means for the most part)
Okay, heres a hard one, it's far easier to speak this language (in my opinion, being I speak mainly latin-based languageds) than read it: Я устал

Yushum. Though I can't guarentee it's completely accurate, since I really can't write russian at all. (actually, I can't really write most languages I speak). I guess it also depends on the dialect people learned. In the US they teach different in school then you would learn outside of the states (Yes, I'm from the US, though the reason I know some of the languages I do aren't from schooling)

Re: Language Game!
What a cool little game. let me see what would make some sort of sense.
Son las 1 de la manana, y tengo muncho ambre.
Have fun.
It's in spanich pretty simple there is supposes to be a tilde ~ over the first n in the word manana, but the computer doesn't place it.
anyways spanish is actually a second language for me, even though i was raised in a primarily spanish speaking family.
It comes very naturally i guess you can say.

Re: Language Game!
Son las UNO de la manana = It is one in the morning...
as for 'y tengo muncho(?) ambre' i'm sure its supposed to be MUCHO... and im not sure what Ambre means... 'and i have lots of ...'
As my language is PLAIN SIMPLE ENGLISH >=[ i shall treat you with my second optional language
Genki des. Onamia wa Poppii des. Anata wa?
The actual language is in characters so this will be hard for you.
